Through partnerships with local nonprofits, schools, shelters, and community organizations, Composed Giving thoughtfully matches donated items with the people who need them most. From supporting foster youth and families rebuilding their lives to advancing sustainability through thoughtful reuse, every item helps create safe, functional spaces where people can rebuild with dignity, stability, and hope.

Supporting children and young adults transitioning into foster care, independent living, and adulthood with the essentials they need to thrive. We partner with organizations like A Sense of Home, which furnishes first-ever homes for young adults transitioning out of foster care.

Providing household essentials and furnishings to individuals and families moving from homelessness or temporary housing into permanent homes. A few of our favorite charity partners include Hope the Mission and New Friends Homeless Center.

How Donations Are Distributed
This chart represents how donated items are distributed across our nine primary areas of impact. Figures reflect Composed Giving’s cumulative impact through July 2026 and do not include items distributed during our 2025 wildfire response. Each category reflects our commitment to strengthening our community, supporting those in need, and extending the life of quality items through thoughtful reuse.
Community in Action: Our Wildfire Response
When wildfires devastated communities across Los Angeles in early 2025, Composed Giving quickly established a free donation and distribution center for affected families. More than 250 volunteers helped collect, sort, and distribute clothing, toiletries, household essentials, pet supplies, and other urgently needed items to over 1,000 families, while also supporting local shelters, food banks, fire stations, and community organizations.
The impact extended far beyond the items themselves. Families were welcomed with personal attention, dignity, and care during an overwhelming and uncertain time.
